Yellowstone

Some of Spalding's family is visiting from Mauritius. We went to Yellowstone for the day. There were many buffalo. We got stuck in a herd while driving. We also saw Elk, a bald eagle, and a bear. Old Faithful was still faithful, blowing about every 90 minutes during the day. We picnicked and enjoyed the sunshine.

There is still lots of snow there. We found out that the caldera that is in Yellowstone (1200 square miles) is bigger than the entire island of Mauritius (720 square miles). We saw the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, and also the fountain paintpots. It was a fun day.

Always something to do

As a homeowner, don't you find there is always work to do around the house. Something to fix, paint, weed, or mow. But we love it! It is ours to take care of and change to our liking. We recently painted, fixed and changed our master bedroom. Hard to believe it has been nearly two years since we moved from our last home. Most of you probably remember the wonderful thing my husband did for me about 2 1/2 years ago. While I was away for a week, he enlisted the help of our friends and redecorated my bedroom. I loved it! Unfortunately, we moved away about 9 months later and I had to leave it. So since moving into this house, I have been bugging him to help me re-create that look in our bedroom. We finally did it and we finished last Saturday. It looks great. It makes me reminiscent, and I miss the times that I had with my old friends-garage sales, bunco, music class, all the fun stuff we did together,and having our kids get along so well with each other.

OK, so I have been reading my friends blogs, and thought, maybe I should try to get with technology. I have been thinking that I am just too busy to sit down at the computer. After all, I am even bad at writing emails. I still find picking up the phone is so much easier. Of course with everyone's busy life, I never catch them at home. Maybe they just see it is me calling and don't answer. My husband is techno, but me, I usually let him figure it out for me. So, guess what. I figured it out myself. So now our family has a blog set up by me. Now maybe I can keep in touch with my friends a little better. I hope you enjoy.
