Any one who has been at our home while Spalding is sleeping knows he is a very loud snorer. After 13 years, I am mostly used to it. Of course, I have to fall asleep first, so I don't hear him snoring. I finally talked him into getting a sleep test done. Drum roll......The results: Spalding has severe obstructive sleep apnea. He stopped breathing 36 times an hour during the test. Scary! So now he gets to wear a mask to help his breathing at night. He looks like a fighter pilot without the helmet when he wears it. He says he feels like he should be scuba diving with it on. I hope it helps him. He should be able to get some good deep sleep, which he has been missing for who knows how long.

WOW~ Bryan also has sleep apnea - 72 times an hour... I knew he had it for a long time - he just wouldn't ever go get tested. Now he has the machine - he feels so much better. Hope everything works out for spalding. I love your new blog look too!
does this mean I'll be able to get some sleep in the guest room when I come? :)
Hi, this is Russ' wife. My dad has the same machine. I remember when he use to snore loud too. I know I snore sometimes, but Russ doesn't complain too much. So I must be OK :-)
