-N- plays the trumpet in the 7th grade band. His band teacher thought it would be a good idea to have a concert in the park instead of the multipurpose room. Usually parents of 5th, 6th, and 7th graders are all crowded into the multipurpose room. It was wonderful. The sun was shining, there was plenty of space to sit and we had a picnic at the same time. My sister Megan came and watched with us. She thought it was funny that the song they played as a warm up was an LDS Hymn. Well, that is what you get when you live in an area that has so many LDS people. It does take a little getting used to.

way to go N! I started on the trumpet too and then moved to the baritone. I bet it was so nice to be outside! :)
I understand Megan's confusion. The weirdest thing for me was when I was working in the hospital and people would come around on Sunday and offer the sacrament and have a sacrament meeting in the common room. Very strange!
