The big 5!

My baby has turned 5!

I can't believe the time has flown by so quickly. She is such a joyful and loving child. She already knows how to work her parents, too.  She tells me I am the best Mom in the world, and she will always obey because she loves to see me smile. Can I get that in writing for 10 years down the road?

Just to improve my "Best Mom" status, I gave in and she got to have a birthday party and invite her friends this year. She wanted a costume party and a jack-o-lantern cake. I have to say, this has been one of the easiest birthday parties to plan. So here is all the fun!

The kids all painted a pumpkin they could take home with them.

Then we had lunch. On the menu: Mummies, skeleton bones with blood, and goblin smiles with snot. The kids loved it! We also had witches brew to drink.

We played some games: spooky bingo, pin the smile on the Jack-o-lantern, and pumpkin smash (pop the balloon race.)

Next was cake and opening presents. This is definately not the cutest cake I have made, but it was exactly what -K- wanted. She didn't even want it to say "Happy Birthday". What she wanted most was to help frost it. She was a great helper.

Here are all the party goers. The kids were all great. They all had a good time. -K- was so excited to have everyone over and to wear costumes.

Happy Birthday -K-. I am so happy to be your Mom! You fill my life with smiles and joy.
