Conversation between -N- and Mom on Saturday morning:
Mom: -N-, today there is an EFY, Dad and I think you should go. It will be really fun.
-N-: What is EFY?
mom: It is Especially for Youth. There will be fun speakers talking about different topics, like testimonies, For the Strength of Youth, and stuff like that.
-N-: Are any of my friends going?
mom: I don't know, let me call their moms and find out.
I get on the phone, call two other moms, make driving arrangements for boys to be dropped off and picked up.
mom: Okay, your friends are going too.
-N-:okay.
About two hours later, after -E's- basketball game
Mom: -N- you better go change for EFY. You need to wear a shirt and a tie.
-N-: Are you serious? Church clothes on Saturday. Ewwww.
On the way out the door
mom: -N-, don't forget your scriptures.
-N-: I have to take my scriptures! What is this!
A couple of hours later after the EFY experience.
mom: How was it?
-N-: It was fun.
mom: What did the speakers talk about?
-N-: one talked about Joseph Smith and the other about Self Esteem.
Mom: I'm glad you liked it.
There are EFY's here about twice a year. I hope that my kids will want to go to all of them. I loved going when I was young. -N- was reluctant to go, but he did seem happy about the fact that he went when he got back home.

Fun! What an opportunity to have them so frequently there. He'll never know how lucky he is!
That is exciting. I still can't believe he is old enough to go!!! Where has the time gone?
