Dude, my name is Mom.

-N- got his first snowboarding lesson today. He opted for ski school the past two years, and this year wanted to try snowboarding. All of his friends snowboard instead of ski. I wondered if along with the snowboard riding lesson there was a language portion. In all of his excitement, -N- would say:

"Dude, it was so fun."
"Dude, I caught edge and faceplanted."
"Dude, the snow was melting, it soaked my snow pants and my knees were wet." "Dude"...."Dude"........"Dude"......

So after he was finished telling me his stories, and I asked him lots of questions, I finally said.,"Oh, Dude, my name is Mom." He just laughed and said, "Oh yeah!" It was good that he talked to me like I am a good friend, but Dude! I get a little annoyed by all the "Dudes" in one conversation.
