Sunny, but cold, with a chance of nose hairs freezing

Happy New Year! We went to some friends to celebrate. At Midnight, our sons, went out with their shirts off and did a somersault in the snow. Crazy, I know. They were so quick about it, we didn't even get a chance to take pictures. We couldn't talk them into doing it again.

The weather warmed up and we had a couple of 40 degree days. Unfortunately, it was short lived. Yesterday the temp dropped. We went swimming at a hot springs. We came out of the hot pool and went to the car with our hair went. In the 15 ft. walk from the front door of the pool to the car, all of us girls had our hair freeze. -L- thought it was hilarious. Her hair looked like it could have been in dreads.

Being fast Sunday, -N-went to collect fast offerings for the church this morning. (we have the dreaded 1-4pm church time slot now) He went out at 9:30 am. it was a brisk -8 degrees F. He came in complaining of his nose hairs freezing. We got out of church and at 4 pm, it was warmer, up to 10 degrees. Warm is definitely a relative term. Our nose hairs froze going to the car.

Oh, you are NOT making me want to move home ANY time soon! Although it is not very warm here either--I HATE COLD WEATHER!

Gotta love the frozen nose hairs! We've had a bit of a cold spell here as well, but our lows were around 10, not our highs.

Sounds like balmy weather in your area :-). Thanks again for letting us stay on Christmas Day. It was great to see you and the family.
