Mom, a pirate!

Today, while we were shopping, we passed a nice old man. He was hunched over a little bit when he walked, and was wearing a black eye patch over one eye. -K- loves to watch the Backyardigans, and one of her favorite episodes is about pirates. And what do pirates wear, an eyepatch. So as we passed by him, she loudly commented, LOOK MOM! A PIRATE! She was so excited. I of course, was a little embarrassed, but I also thought her excitement was cute.
